Frutstix developed the new products specifically for the growing Hispanic market. They are individually wrapped freshly frozen fruit bars manufactured in San Diego. The new bars will be distributed and sold in club stores throughout the nation.

The Paleta de Fruta! line introduces seven new flavors, including a sweet and spicy chili mango bar. Talbot Design took a fresh and fun approach in designing the logo. It has friendly looking rounded edges, uses playful typography, and ends with an exclamation point to emphasize fun and enjoyment for the whole family. Talbot Design Creative Director and founder GayLyn Talbot, a recognized color strategist whose company’s work has been featured by the Pantone Color Institute, knows what colors attract consumers’ attention. “We made use of eye catching yellow, black, red and green for the logo while keeping a clean look,” she says. Coincidentally, this week’s Fortune Magazine features an article mentioning Pantone, on the importance of color, and how manufacturers are understanding its key role in consumer forecasting and moving product.

The packaging design focuses on the freshness and quality of the bars, using coordinated photography of fresh chunks of fruit for each delicious flavor with a clean white background that reinforces eye-popping contrast. The design features large pieces of fruit prominently displayed throughout the seven different product packages to emphasize the quality and freshness of the hand-poured bars and the client brand.

Westlake Village-based graphic design and marketing agency Talbot Design Group won the account after a two-month review process at the beginning of the year. Coming out with fresh, vibrant and diversified fabrics and trims, and a new category of eco-friendly fabrics, Pindler & Pindler wanted a brand identity update beginning with a new website to support their thriving business and development department. “An online presence that reflects the quality of the brand is important in the luxury space,” Ms. Talbot said.

Talbot Design’s creative approach was to develop a website design with smooth and fluid navigation, while emphasizing the client’s exclusive Hearst Castle and Newport Mansions collections. The three month project has resulted in a site that reveals Pindler’s exquisite new brand by portraying exclusivity, beauty and elegance with a timeless appeal using fabric detail “glamour” shots. The website is designed to appear similar to an art piece, while showcasing Pindler’s high end designer fabrics targeted to professional interior designers. It has been well received in the industry with easy navigation features like “collections at-a-glance” that allows an entire collection to be quickly referenced, and using Flash to incorporate inspiration photos that morph into final fabric design. The “Be fulfilled” campaign, currently in-stores, incorporates the concept of “Bringing home a little Chinese,” focusing on Panda Express and the joy of take out. Talbot has developed the creative for in-store promotional pieces now being displayed in 450 stores nationwide.

This multi-layered campaign features large banners displayed in storefronts, posters, employee hats, trayliners, bags, food tags, a POP display, frequency piece and menu board. The design combines classic Chinese imagery with a bold and fresh new color palette and look for Panda Express. The campaign introduces new upscale and fun menu items, encourages guests to continue to try existing items and kicks off with a frequency program tied directly to Panda’s partner, Pepsi. Guests can pick up their “Passport to Fulfillment” (Frequency program card) at any participating Panda Express location and work their way to fulfillment with every Panda meal purchase. They can also fill out the official entry form and be entered to win a New York, New York Hotel and Casino vacation package. Promotion runs to the end of summer. Color photos and artwork available.
